Ghost Donkey is a speakeasy bar at The Cosmopolitan featuring an upscale lounge with just a handful of seats, snacks, and a fantastic selection of mezcal and tequila. However, keep in mind that you will need to buy tickets to gain access to this one, but it is worth it! Ghost Donkey Most nights, Usher himself makes an appearance, too. Cocktails will be flowing, and you can also get up close and personal with Usher’s dancers and crew. Ushh Club, where it is held, is modeled after a 1920s jazz den, but the experience is a cross between the iconic Magic City nightclub and an NYC block party from the 90s. Ushh: Backstage Pass is a Las Vegas speakeasy that acts as the pre-game party for the Usher residency. You wouldn’t expect to find a Las Vegas speakeasy before attending a residency performance, but with Ushh: Backstage Pass, that is exactly what you’ll get. They serve craft cocktails, beer, wine, and sake. Inside you’ll find a dimly lit, intimate lounge with sophisticated oriental decor adorning the brick walls. Though we are unsure if it changes, the last we heard, it was “meow.” The secret door is the blue shelving unit with a gold cat on it, but you’ll first have to check in with the staff and give them the password. Within the Famous Foods Street Eats food court, you’ll see a small convenience store called Ms. Though this is typically the entire point of speakeasies, many in Las Vegas aren’t so well hidden. There is also no signage to point you in the general direction. It is located on the new Resorts World property, and while it is listed under the dining options on their website, there is no information on hours, menu, location, etc. Here Kitty Kitty Vice Den is one of the most well-hidden Las Vegas speakeasies. Get a fresh look from one of the master barbers, then book a table at this hidden gem inside The Cosmopolitan Las Vegas. At night, it embodies the prohibition era offering a wide selection of whiskeys, live entertainment, and modern twists on vintage favorites. Colliding, or whatever.By day, Barbershop Cuts and Cocktails is a lounge located behind a janitor’s closet door within a functioning barbershop. During our Pinches Tacos visit, we saw him at a neighboring restaurant, Pork & Beans, doing his downtown visionary thing. Oh, and keep your eyes peeled for Zappos CEO and bazillionaire Tony Hsieh. We weren’t kidding about the mantis thing. Otherwise, a pretty awesome evening can be had with a cocktail at The Boozery, a photo op with the giant, fire-spewing praying mantis (see below), and some comida rica at Pinches Tacos. They’ll take it off the cob for you, if you ask nicely. That means grab an order or five of the Mexican Corn on the Cob, often called “street corn,” because supplies are limited, and it’s delicious. Mas, por favor.Įxpect a bit of a wait on Friday and Saturday nights, and because the restaurants at the Downtown Container Park (they’re actually inside shipping containers), they sometimes run out of your favorite things. And “Pinche” is Spanish for “cook.” Oh, just play along, it makes for a charming story. The legend is that when Pancho Villa would get hungry, he’d shout, “Cook, bring me some tacos!” In Spanish, though, probably. ![]() It’s believed one of the uncles in the Pinches family hung out with Pancho Villa. The name of the place is said to be based on folklore. ![]() Pinches Tacos is faring very well on Yelp, which is always a good sign. Our go-to restaurant at the Downtown Container Park is Pinches Tacos, a Mexican joint with reasonable prices and reliably satisfying food. We love the hooch, the atmosphere, the eclectic mix of shops, and even the food. Another thing that’s a must-do in Las Vegas. The quirky Container Park has quickly (and somewhat surprisingly) become one of our favorite haunts in downtown Las Vegas. ![]()
